MWC 2022: First launches – exceptionally stylish The Huawei Watch, as well as Sony, Lenovo, Microsoft and others
Samsung and HTC are by far the most anticipated launches. But other manufacturers have also prepared their launches for MWC 2022. As every year, the biggest launches are basically behind us, and they took place before MWC started in earnest. Flagstaff and other innovations in.w. manufacturers have already been presented by us in previous news stories.
This time it's time to summarize the launches of the first two days – what the other mobile manufacturers had to offer, and one more launch from Samsung.
A stylish smartwatch – The Huawei Watch
At the very beginning, it is worth mentioning the device, which stands out from other premieres with its unique design. "Boom" for smartwatches is definitely passing, however, manufacturers continue to release wearables devices. During MWC 2022, the following were very positively surprised in this regard Huawei, showcasing the watch running on Android Wear. The Huawei Watch is by far the most stylish of the smartwatches to date, looking decidedly like a men's elegant classics, than plastic toys. The watch has 1.4-inch display located on a disc with a diameter 42mm. Variants are available in gold, silver or black finishes.

Sony – the Xperia Z4 tablet and the mid-range Xperia M2 Aqua
Sony, as announced, unveiled a tablet Sony Xperia Z4. It has a 10.1-inch screen with an impressive 2K resolution, Which provides good image quality even in harsh light. The tablet stands out unusually slim design – Its thickness is 6mm and weight is 389g.
Inside you will find a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory (expandable with a microSD card) and the 6000mAH battery. The Xperia M2 has an 8Mpx camera, which is said to be able to take photos underwater as well. Xperia M2 Aqua to go on sale this spring, and its price is expected to secure its position as a mid-shelf phone. The Xperia Z4 tablet is scheduled for release on June This year, the price is not yet known.
"Photographic" smartphone Lenovo Vibe Shot
Lenovo also presented its launches. The m.in. Lenovo A7000, 5.5-inch smartphone With exceptional Dolby Atmos speakers, as well as a low-budget MIIX 300 tablet With an 8-inch screen priced at $149.
But the smartphone from Lenovo, which looks a lot like a compact camera, has attracted the most attention Lenovo Vibe Shot. The smartphone has a 16Mpx camera. Taking pictures is supposed to be facilitated by a physical button dedicated to it, which you will also find in traditional cameras. When pressed halfway, autofocus is activated.
Also the software has been tailored to photography enthusiasts – you can operate in two modes, automatic ("smart mode") and manual ("pro mode"), which allows you to set parameters such as. ISO, exposure or white balance.
For the sake of privacy – Blackphone 2 and Blackphone+
A year ago at MWC debuted the Blackphone, which stands out for its exceptional attention to user data security. The family of these devices is expanding: at MWC a new smartphone was presented Blackphone 2 and Blackphone tablet prototype+. The new Blackphone has similar privacy features to its predecessor. Instead, it has better hardware specifications – an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a larger battery capacity and 5.5-inch display.

ZTE and eye scanner… eye scanner
Chinese ZTE unveiled its flagship – Grand S3, Which is distinguished from the competition by a technology so far known from science-fiction movies – an eye scanner. Technology Eyeverify is expected to allow the phone to be unlocked by scanning the user's eye. In addition, the phone has a 5.5 inches, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 801 processor, 16MPx main camera.
It is expected to hit the Chinese market first, priced at approx. $500.
Microsoft news – Lumia 640 and 640 XL
In Barcelona, Microsoft unveiled two new Lumias. It will power a group of low- and mid-budget devices. Microsoft Lumia 640 has a 5-inch display, Qualcomm quad-core processor 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory – similar to the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua.
The smartphone also has an 8Mpx main camera. The bigger brother is Microsoft Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 1320 successor. It is a phablet with a 5.7-inch screen. Other parameters remain essentially unchanged from the smaller Lumia 640.
The camera, however, has been improved – the Lumia 640 XL has a 13MPx camera with Carl Zeiss optics. The devices are expected to go on sale in April. Lumia 640 is expected to be priced at $155-$178, depending on the standard chosen.
The price of the Lumia 640 XL is expected to range from $211-$245. Devices will also be available in dual SIM versions.
It must be admitted that the first two days of Mobile World Congress 2022 brought with them a lot of launches – more or less innovative. The flagships from Samsung and HTC are certainly the most worthy of attention. The biggest surprise, however, was probably The Huawei Watch for its design.
